Well I have absolutely no, nil, nada intention of cleaning anything on Wednesdays.. Because after three straight 10.5 hour workdays I'm usually 100% wiped out by the time I get home on Wed,, and only the mere concept that Thursdays are really my Fridays is what allows me to get up in the morning (Plus Thursdays are my date nite with my friend Tina so we get to do fun crafts or just share a fresh mozzarella and catch up!).
But I will consider a weekly cleaning project as a task. Perhaps Sundays as I feel like after I go to church that my soul is a lil more clean than it was when I went in, so maybe that is a good day to some homeward cleansing. Last weekend I scrubbed the bathroom, which wasn't terribly dirty since we've only been in the apartment for a month but with a dispenser of clorox wipes, some Comet and a bunch of paper towels (i know all you organic people are cringing at me over there, sorry) and I was off!. Today Kevin wiped down the windowsils because he thought they were sub-par on the cleanliness scale. He said that after a lot of scrubbing its output is mediocre at best.
Hmmm I wonder what we could conquer this week. I guess since there are so many 'still have to unpack and organize my own home' projects to be done I should stick with those for now. This weekends project is curtain hanging in the bedroom... they're too long and there are no curtain rods as of yet,, so it should be n interesting challenge
back to the 'mess' that is my work desk... FUll of charts!

inspire me, Danielle! you go clean and then tell me all about it... I vacuum today during little Sara's nap. does that count?
I'll figure something out this weekend to clean! But Wednesdays are not my days.. I think Sunday might be!:)
Yay!!!! Another taker of the challenge! It doesn't matter what day you do the cleaning! Having other people cleaning too will totally help me keep motivated to get stuff done. Plus I love hearing what others are doing so I can go "oh, yeah- I need to clean that too!"
Sending you hugs. And happy spring cleaning vibes for the new apt!
Your too funny Shan. I actually did laundry, hung up some wall art, decorated the kitchen and hung some hooks in the bathroom and bedroom closet to help organize the 'stuff' of daily life. Not a lot of cleaning although with my clorox wipes its pretty much an everyday thing to find something to wipe with those guys!

I LOVE wipes!I found some that are supposed to be baby friendly, but also smell really nice. And it's just so much easier than spraying stuff onto paper towels.
Also, I need to hang some hooks in my bathroom closet. I have a bunch of bags that sit on the floor that it be great to organize some.Another to do:)
lol the first sentence and I was cracking up!! thats great you are taking the cleaning challenge but on sundays:) cleaning the bathtub is alot of hard work and whatever you need to clean with, thats up to you, but just fyi (i learned from laura's cleaning blog) baking soda works SO AMAZINGLY and is cheaper than clorox and doesn't smell bad! i was going to go back to clorox and then i tried it and it was just awesome. oooo, can't wait to see how your curtains turn out! you know, we need curtain rods at the lakehouse (which i'll post on the country lakehouse blog!) and i was thinking, couldn't you just get big straight branches and cut away the tapered stuff and then use them!? wouldn't that look awesome! martin is very much against it for some reason, so i can't win there (maybe in the bathroom i could sneak it lol) but maybe you could try that!?
OMG Nikki there is no way in Hades that I'm putting a large tree branch on my windows. Maybe it would be appropriate decor for the lake house (although the branch would have to be pretty long and slim but I say do it!).... but my apt is not quite that 'rustic' looking! hahaha
I will consider this baking soda business but I'd prefer it to come in a spray bottle or wipe form. can we make that happen?
hahha
