In an attempt to curb my hunger craving today, the day I
They are lent-approved,, but they amass approximately 15 points and frankly I can't agree to have that as dinner so I must avoid.
So water,, I thought this was a great idea... Fill myself up with water so that I'm too full to want to eat and or let my stomach growl.
Plan-FAIL! Instead the 'full' feeling is only located in my bladder and I'm running like a total idiot to the bathroom 100 times today, and while running,, my stomach STILL GROWLING.. not happy. not happy at all.
So bloggies I need some suggestions STAT! What do you eat/drink that helps curb your cravings during the long hauls of the workday!?
(and please don't say chocolate as I might cry).

TEA lots and lots of TEA! :)
Ok not that you don't see me all day long- well soon enough I guess you wont =( But anyway, I swear by the fiber one muffins- i eat one every morning and i rarely need a snack. The banana chocolate chip ones are 3 pts- they also make a blueberry one, so never fear, and I assume they are also 3 pts. If I need a snack, I usually eat a fiber one snack bar for 1 pt or a clementine orange, which is also 1 pt. Tons of water is of course good for you and I don't drink enough of it, but using the true lemon stuff helps me drink more. I love my popchips for 3 pts- you could cut the serving down of course to make it less pts. Baby carrots and fat free dressing is a good snack too. Laughing cow cheese and crackers... I could probably go on all day long. Some of my favorites are not cheap, but they are worth it if they keep me on track.
Those fiber One Bars fill me up BUT they have a terrible side effect that might be worse for you considering you work where there are other people.
No one wants to be near a tooter unless you're good at pretending it was someone else...lol
What about popcorn?
Honestly what helps me the most is gum. I feel like I'm eating when I'm chewing and if I'm chewing sugarfree trident (I know I may as well be a commercial lol) it whitens my teeth, too - so bonus! AND it's a great cure for a sweet craving!
Also - and I have no idea the point counts on these - but snack cheeses have helped me, too - they make me feel a bit more full and they're not sugary so the feeling lasts a little while (as opposed to like 5 minutes when I have anything sweet).
And caffeine is a good appetite suppressent - green tea is especially good. And I found out recently that I need to absolutely avoid anything with cinnamon in it - it is a super appetite stimulant.
That's it for me :)
If you're really hungry, have a fat free Greek yogurt. They're really thick, and would do the trick.
Oooh you got good ideas! This post made me laugh! Oh we Noonans wih small bladders:)
hugs!
I used to do WW and found that the South Beach Diet bars were great. I cannot remember how many points they were, I'm thinking 1-2? They really worked to curb it for me. My favorite was the chocolate mocha ones. I used the flavor packets in my water to make the water another favorite option.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I will have to write another post to answer your question.
