would you rather live for a week in the past
or in the future?
There are many things in my past that I would like to 'McFly' myself back to the future and reset and restate or do something different to not hurt a friends' feelings or make someone feel judged or bad. But those are part of the lessons that make me me, so if given the choice..
I would go forward. I would get a glimse into the future and see what it is that I have become and see if it is what I want to become or if I need to tweak things now in order to make them better or different.
Like maybe 15 years from now I'm a SAHM and I am miserable because I miss my colleagues and the academia of my career. Or maybe I'm still working full time and I'm missing out on the growths and changes of my children? Or maybe I couldnt have kids and 15 years from now I'm contemplating adoption and wishing I had time back. Who knows what the world will still develop and I know that while I'd like to change things in the past, knowing that I'd be happy in the future makes pushing through the tough stuff now so much more worth it.
What do you think!?

Hi! Thanks for leaving your sweet comment on my blog today - so there IS actually someone out there like me! LOL I tend to go "back to the original" way too often! LOL And, because of AADD-ness, I do take pics to help me stay focused - even on cleaning! LOL
What a great subject to ponder. At first I thought, "oh the past" for the same reasons you listed, but then I opted for the future too! Hopefully to avoid the mistakes that made me want to go to the past...

Interesting choice!
I like the idea of getting a glimpse of your future self... and having the ability to change NOW.
But I still think I'd choose the past. Like you said, I wouldn't want to change anything... as the choices I made in my past did make me who I am today. But the past is just so interesting, so full of history. It'd be a pretty eye-opening experience, I think!
Thanks for playing along again! :)
I'm going to the future with ya!
The future is where it's at! Leave the past where it is I say.
I like your reference to Back to the Future - I'm a proud owner of the trilogy on DVD :)
I'd spend a week in the past, maybe in one of our family vacations, it would be so nice to see my dad again.
id go back! but both are a good argument....
Your reasoning almost convinced me to go future- but not quite. I would go into the past. Either to the oldest I ever was while my mom was healthy- so I could ask her about a billion questions and advice, or I'd go back to when she was in her 30's. get to know her as a person, be her friend:)
Awwww! Yep you can totally come too! My mom didn't drink, but you and I can open so good wine, and have a good cry:)
PS> you are mentioned in my horrific vlog:)
